I went on a date yesterday; my date and I talked about our dogs for a good hour. That’s my kind of man!!!! 😉

Am I the only one who could listen to her dog sleep all day? The few big breaths, the adorable stretching, the sweet light moans or the “running in their sleep” dreams. Cannot handle it.

I took Saul to Estes Park this past weekend. He ran in the snow, slipped on the ice, went snow shoeing and was just the perfect angel. It is wrong that I want to go away with him for a weekend getaway. Just the two of us?

I’ll tell you this right now, I over-exaggerate. All the time. But in this post I’m not. I probably kiss Saul 100+ a day. Each kiss is a pucker on his face or body. 100+.

I just realized I have a bruise on my right foot that’s been there many, many times. Why? Because every morning when I let out Saul, he steps on my right foot. I believe it’s his way of saying good morning. That’s love.

As much as I KNOW Saul is my angel, my friend Holly asked to watch her dog Bijou. I’ll be honest, Saul is my baby, but I love dogs so much, I’ve kissed Bijou 20 times in the last three hours. Swear.

How odd is it that the minute I get in my car I begin my “dog” voice and start talking to Saul and how excited I am to see him. I am nuts. And I love it.

Have you ever kissed your dog on the lips where his whiskers actually touch your teeth? So good.

Today I put food in my hand and let Saul eat it. As if I was giving him communion. Sweet Jesus. 🙂
