What should we do and where should we go?

I did nothing this summer. I can’t believe it’s over!!!

After turning 40 (a whopping 16 days ago) I feel like life is too short. Do what you want, give back to others, be kind, be selfish and be you.

and I’m getting less and less stressed. 40 might not be that bad! 🙂

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about turning 40. Here are the good things:

• I’m allowed to have a midlife crisis and no one can blame me
• I can be called Ma’am and it’s no longer offensive
• I’m wiser than when I turned 21
• I DEFINITELY don’t look 40
• I don’t act 40 🙂

Bad things:

• I don’t have enough money to properly have a midlife crisis
• I’m not necessarily where I thought I’d be

Thoughts?

how in just about every show about four women there are the same “types.”

• The Naive One – i.e. Charlotte, Rose, Grace Adler, April Malloy
• The Slut – i.e. Samantha, Blanche, Jack McFarlan, Joss Carver
• The Reasonable One – i.e. Miranda, Dorothy, Will Truman, Karen Kim
• The Good Friend/Best Character – i.e. Carrie, Sofia, Karen Walker, Savi Davis

What other characters am I missing?  I don’t watch Girls so I didn’t include them.

Did anyone see this gorgeous documentary on E!? It was by far the best thing since Magic Mike without the annoying girl/sister person Channing was involved with.

Items to highlight:

• Chubby Chaser
• The unattractive “hot Brazilian girlfriend”
• 98 Degrees guy
• Money Mike
• Their bodies
• The embarrassing “dancing”

I’m taking care of two other dogs this weekend. Now I have a St. Bernard, Bernese Mountain Dog and an English Golden Retriever. I’m by far the coolest person in my neighborhood!!!

I haven’t watched this show is 15 years and decided to give it another try. Few things:

• Andi is hot
• I like her personality and attitude
• These guys are HOT
• How long do you think the “token” bachelors will last? Will there EVER be an interacial couple?
• I did, however, fast forward through 40 minutes of the show. I can’t deal with the cheesiness
• If they want this to truly work, I have a few suggestions:
•      Have her friends meet with the bachelors throughout. Flirt with them and see if they bite.
•      Bring in ex girlfriends of the bachelors to see how they handle it.
•      Allow music, books, TV during the six week period so they aren’t singularly focused on the dates

Sorry for the silent treatment for a few days. Here’s what you’ve missed:

• My poor Chicago tenants are being harassed by their neighbor. Is it possible to egg someone’s condo from Denver?
• Had to PRESENT a hypothetical project plan to a group of 15 people for an interview and they gave the job to someone internally. Screw them. THAT’S BS.
• I’ve been looking for a job for four months.
• I’m tan. Like George Hamilton tan. And sadly, that’s not good.
• Saul is truly the love of my life. And everyday of being disappointed by potential men makes him MY best suitor. Good job single men of Denver.
• Finales aired for May Sweeps. I’m sad my favorite shows will be on hiatus for the summer. Bummer.
• I’m going to Petoskey for July 4th. BEST. NEWS. EVER.
• Is drinking a bottle of wine everyday a problem? Doctors and health professional please do not respond.
• I’m annoyed.
• Has anyone watched “Those Who Kill” on LMN? Yes LMN. Zip it. It’s amazing. Like so scary.
• Saw “Lee Daniels The Butler.” Cannot believe the hatred in those days. Disgusting.
• Dairy Queen is my new obsession.
• I can’t wait to use my baby pool. Saul and I are super excited.
• Wish life were different sometimes.
